A new Star Trek video game looks to have been leaked ahead of time. Star Trek fan account TrekCore uncovered signs promoting a new game named Star Trek: Prodigy – Supernova during the Star Trek Chicago event (via GamesRadar).

This seems to be a new game for the PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch based on the graphics. Supernova is being developed by Outright Games, a studio with a lot of expertise with licensed games. Among other properties, Outright has worked on games for My Little Pony, Fast & Furious, and Hotel Transylvania. The smuggled placard also lists Tessera Games, a freshly created firm.

According to the banner, further information about Supernova will be disclosed on the Outright Games YouTube channel in May 2022. While this seems to be true, we can’t be positive until an official announcement is made. Take all of this information with a grain of salt until an official statement is made.

Supernova will join the previously announced Star Trek: Resurgence if it is true. This is a third-person adventure game that takes place after the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation and presents an original tale. This game is being developed by a firm that includes former Telltale employees.

In other Star Trek news, Paramount has confirmed that the cast of The Next Generation will rejoin for Star Trek: Picard Season 3.
